Ingredients for pie crust (6 to 8 people)

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
  • 6 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons cold vegetable shortening, sliced
  • 4 tablespoons cold water

Pie crust recipe

  • Combine the flour, salt, and baking powder in a large bowl. Mix with a whisk.

  • 15-ounce pumpkin puree
  • 14-ounce sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Pumpkin pie recipe

  • Whisk pumpkin puree, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, spices, and salt in a medium bowl until smooth.
  • Pour into crust. Bake at 375°F for 50 minutes or until the knife inserted comes out clean.
