Bellyful on empty street ! Where to order when you do not want to cook, and use the great excuse to help small businesses?

Columbia City

Empire Coffee : for an excellent, perfectly in-house roasted coffee. I have been there so often that I do not even have to ask for my drink, some morning it is nice to not even have to speak! Since last week they are open from 6:30am to 3pm everyday.

3829 S Edmunds St, Seattle, WA 98118

International District (ou China-Japan town)

Fuji Bakery

Fuji Bakery :  savory and sweet Japanese pastries with a French twist. Open 7:30am to 5pm everyday but Sunday: until 4pm.

Harbor City

Harbor City : this is the place to go for Dim Sum (Chinese taco brunch style), until 3pm. If in a rush, it is possible to eat in just 15 min, payment included! Everyday. Family friendly

707 S King St, Seattle, WA 98104-3017

Tsukushinbo : very small Japanese restaurant, my favorite. Order first and pick-up. Open from 12 to 9pm everyday Friday-Saturday until 11pm Sunday until 8:30pm.

515 S Main St Seattle, WA 98104

If Tsukushinbo is closed or the line is too long, on the other side of the st, literally in front of it, is Fuji Sushi, very 80’s look.

520 S Main St, Seattle, WA 98104.

Capitol Hill : Le triangle d’or, Yalla, Kadai Mekan et Crumble and Flake 3 of my favorite on this small block.

Crumble and Flake

Crumble and Flake : French pastry with a twist. The owner went to France to study how to make French pastry, she is definitely doing an amazing job. My favorite the Galette with lavender shallot and goat cheese or the Passion fruit cake. Open 9am to 3pm closed Monday – Tuesday

1500 E Olive Way, Seattle, WA 98122

Yalla

Yalla : Arabic take out restaurant. It has always been a take out/delivery place, they have adjusted to the confinement by doing what they have been doing all along. My favorite Mediterranean food. We as a family have tasted all the “Saj” sandwich options. Open everyday 10am to 9pm.

1510 E Olive Way Seattle, WA 98122

Kadai Mekan

Kadai Mekan : best Malysian food outside Malaysia.  I first encounter their food few years ago at the farmer’s maket in Columbia City.  Now they are operating a full restaurant. At least when not in confinement. Open wednesday-Sunday 3pm to 8:30pm. closed Monday-Tuesday.

1802 Bellevue ave, Seattle

Ballard

San Fermo Market

San Fermo Market :  a little pop-up grocery, with home made pasta. In a cute white little house. We had the N’duja agnolotti it will make you want to through away all that pasta you have been hoarding!
