Fall is upon us, time to enjoy Halloween family fun with our younger kids. Let’s go to a pumpkin patch and pick that perfect pumpkin, the one we’ll want to carve!
Of course, we can’t have too many kids together in one place and farms are following social distancing and safety guidelines. But picking your very own pumpkin is still a joyful moment and a great opportunity for outdoor fun!
Here are a few farms near Snohomish, where you can go pumpkin picking before Halloween.
The road leading up to the farm, along the Snohomish River, is gorgeous. Pick your pumpkin, get lost in a Washington State corn maze, and pick apples in the orchard for homemade crumbles and applesauce.
Don’t leave without tasting the farm’s cider and cider donuts!

How do you like your pumpkin? Giant? Or do you prefer a tiny one? Long and tall? Perfectly round? So bumpy it looks like a witch? With 60 varieties offered at this farm, you can choose the one you like!
Here too, you can get lost in a corn maze, or visit the store for items such as fresh, locally grown produce from neighboring farms, apples, cider, honey, and clothing.
The store is in the old calf barn and the farm was once a dairy farm. Come see what’s in store!

Other good options include Stocker Farm and Craven Farm near Snohomish.
